Wii Guitar Hero Video Game World Tour Band Kit With Drums For Family Fun

Posted by admin under Arts, Entertainment and Music

As the US continues to spiral into a very long recession/depression and the news constantly reports how the worlds’ banks are collapsing, Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit video Game continues to fly off the shelves. I know we have the whole kit in my house guitars (yes 2 lead/rhythm and bass), drums, and microphone. My younger brother also got it, why? To save money of course!
So the first question I know I will be asked is, how can something that costs so much save you money? Well in my brother’s and my case the answer was simple, there is only so many times you can read a book or watch the Knight Rider re-runs. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kitt, but am much happier with our decision to get the Wii and Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit with Drums.

The first issue we ran into was finding the game in stock. We had lots of time to do price comparisons for Target, WalMart, GameStop, EB Games, etc. We finally realized it was much easier to look online and find something that way on EBay or Amazon. In order to have the best price or offer a lot of these locations offer free shipping and have instant availability.

My brother and I each bought our Wii on Ebay for about $300 and then the Rock Band World Tour Kit was about $190. So lets say $500 total, but we play this instead of going out. Lets compare this to the cost of going out now. The last time we went to the bar at Christmas it was a $70 bar tab + $15 tip, so $85 bucks for the night for 4 of us (and we didn’t get nearly enough to be drunk!). So if this keeps us out of the bar 6 nights, it paid for itself. In today’s economy anyway we can save money it is AWESOME!

Guitar Hero has come a long way from its first foray into the video gaming world. The Wii console had changed the way that many of us look at video games by the time Guitar Hero came out. The wireless remote and nunchuk allow a flexibility and play that technology just did not support years ago. Wether you want to play single or multiplayer this allows you to do it. Solo or up to 4 players can play simultaneously, with the added bonus of showcasing master recordings by the original singers/bands which was not the case on Rock Band. You can also network and play online. You are given a friend code that you can give to others you know or look for people to play other instruments for your band. So if you want to play lead guitar, look for someone else to play rhythm or bass guitar, percussion, even sing, just connect with other gamers online!

Video gaming is no longer just sitting and pressing buttons, welcome to the world of guitars, drums, lyrics, and vocals! Stand up, throw your guitar strap over your shoulder like you are strumming a Fender, and strike a chord! Friends or family can join in on percussion, be careful it gets tricky! In our house when we have had a little too much to drink we try our hand at singing the lyrics, watch your pitch! Are you good enough to cut a demo?
Play 86 songs ranging from the 1960’s to modern day, with the ability to download over 80 more. Just some of the songs are from Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Lenny Kravitz and Nirvana. While Nirvana is best known for Kurt Cobain’s death after the use of Heroin the reason he is remembered is because of how phenomenal he was as a singer and musician.

The Nintendo Wii has developed something in Guitar Hero World Tour Band that doesn’t come along often. Their entire wireless control system and motion detection that Wii originally developed, opened a whole new world in the gamming community. They made quite a few adjustments when they put out the Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit with Drums from the Wii Rock Band Kits and games. From the use and gathering of star power, to the original tracks they were able to get.
